This vintage ski advertising brochure was printed in France and an published by the French government. It encompasses 50 pages including the front and back covers. It is written in both French and English with English as the primary language; suggesting its export to American and Canadian consumers. The book works its way through Winter sports in France, a skiers vocabulary, outline showing the position of France among winter sports countries, French winter sports resorts including Chamonix, Haute-Savoie, Megece, St-Gervais, Combloux, Morzine, Mont Blanc, Dauphiny, Brianconnais, the Alps, the Pyrenees, Vosges, Jura, resorts of Massif Central, and North African resorts.
The brochure is in color with reds, blues and blacks as the dominate colors. It features over a hundred period photos of people skiing and old photos of the various ski resorts listed above. I will be scanning the book in its entirety in the next few weeks between shifts of my summer paramedic internship.
